Our good friend and absolute killer guitarist Tobin Dale is currently sweeping through England with Tuk Smith & the Restless Hearts on their explosive UK tour. If you haven't caught their heavy-hitting, 70s-infused radio rock yet, you are missing out on pure, unadulterated swagger. They are blowing the roofs off venues from Southampton to Leeds, bringing a masterclass of towering riffs and stadium-level hooks to the British underground.
But if you look closely at Tobin’s hand while he’s tearing up the fretboard of his Les Paul, you’ll spot a little piece of Nashville riding shotgun.

We don't make delicate jewelry designed to sit safely in a velvet box. We build armor. The Bellbottom Blues ring was designed with that exact 1970s rocker grit in mind—heavy-gauge metal, deep hand-engraved textures, and a massive slab of natural indigo Denim Lapis sitting right at the center. Tobin has been a friend of ours going back to our own days in LA, long before either of us landed in Nashville. He played guitar on Chris’s Pretty Face record in 2018, and he’s been in the room for both Chris Ingham & the Instigators albums since. When you’ve spent that many late nights chasing a take together, you learn pretty quickly who takes their gear — and their gigs — seriously, and Tobin has never done anything halfway.
His own road has taken some serious turns since then. From those early LA years he landed in a band called The Sweet Things, then spent a few years in Untamed, a Jefferson Airplane-leaning psychedelic rock outfit here in Nashville. From there he moved into Ray Wylie Hubbard’s band, holding down guitar for years on stages that included a night at Red Rocks, before Tuk Smith & the Restless Hearts came calling. That is the kind of resume that only comes from choosing the guitar over almost everything else for two decades, and it is exactly the kind of story Ramble & Riot was built to sit alongside.
Building for someone like Tobin changes how we think about a piece before it ever hits the bench. A ring that lives on a hand under stage lights five nights a week has to survive sweat, humidity, a hard case getting thrown in a van, and however many strings get broken and restrung along the way. That is part of why the Bellbottom Blues carries a heavier gauge of sterling silver than most of what is on the market — it is built to be worn hard, not admired from a case.
The Bellbottom Blues is not the only piece Tobin wears on the road.
