Custom Commissions: Let’s Build Something Rare
I am open to taking on custom work for those who have a clear vision and a desire for a one-of-a-kind talisman. Whether it’s a specific stone you’ve been chasing or a variation of a Ramble & Riot signature style, I’m here to help you bring it to life.
The Process:
Clear Vision: To ensure the best result, I ask that you come to the table with a firm idea of your desired aesthetic, metal, and sizing.
The Commitment: Because custom work requires dedicated studio time and material sourcing, a non-refundable deposit is required up front before any metal is cut or stones are set - this is used to source the materials needed to complete the custom commission.
Pricing will be agreed upon before deposit is invoiced and work is begun
two invoices will be sent - one for the deposit which is the cost of the materials and supplies - the second for the remaining balance.
Timeline: Custom pieces typically take between 4-8 weeks to complete, depending on complexity.
Approval before the torch: Before the first invoice goes out, we'll confirm the details in writing: design, metal, stone, size, and the timeline. That's what I build from. Once you approve it, the work starts and the design is locked.
About the stones: Every stone is natural and one of a kind, so no two are the same and none will match a photo exactly. That's the point. We'll pick your stone together during the approval stage, and I confirm it's available before I invoice the deposit. Once the deposit clears, that stone is yours and it's off the board. Stones move fast, and I can't hold one until it's paid for — if yours sells before your deposit clears, I'll bring you the closest alternatives I can find. Quotes and stone selections hold for 7 days.
Payment: The deposit covers the stone and materials and is invoiced once we've settled the design and confirmed the stone is available. It's non-refundable, because the moment it clears I'm buying your materials. The second invoice covers the remaining balance and is due before the piece ships. Work stays in the studio until it's paid.
Deadlines: If your piece is tied to a date, tell me up front and I'll tell you honestly whether it's doable. Holiday orders need to be confirmed by October 30 to ship before Christmas.
Final sale: Custom commissions are made to your specifications, including size, so they're final. No exchanges or returns. Sizing questions are worth asking before you approve. The 90-day craftsmanship guarantee still covers them, same as everything else I make.
I reserve the right to refuse any custom commissions if they are outside of my style or skillset, all discussions and agreements are made before the first invoice is sent.
