On stage

I Make Jewelry For People Who Don't Sit Still. So The Real Test Was Never The Photo On My Bench — It's What Happens When A Piece Goes Out On The Road, Gets Sweated On Under House Lights, Packed Into A Flight Case, And Played In Four Cities In A Week.

These Are The Players Wearing Ramble & Riot Out There Right Now.

I've spent twenty years on the other side of these lights

Before I Ever Picked Up A Torch, I Was A Guitar Player. Twenty Years Of It — Solo Acoustic Rooms Around Nashville, Fronting Simply Subtle And Chris Ingham & The Instigators, Four Albums, And A Songwriter Showcase I Started At Madam's Organ In Washington, DC Back In 2008 Because The City Needed Somewhere For Independent Artists To Land.

That's Why This Shop Makes What It Makes. I Know What A Ring Goes Through In A Load-Out Because I've Done The Load-Out. I Know Which Piece Snags On A Strap, Which Clasp Gives Up In A Flight Case, And What A Soft Setting Looks Like After Forty Shows. I've Worn The Answers.

So I Don't Build Delicate Things For Velvet Boxes. Heavy-Gauge Metal, Deep Hand-Cut Texture, Stones Set Low And Set To Stay. I Build Armor — Because I'm Building It For People Like The Ones I've Been Standing Next To For Two Decades.

Rock 'N' Roll And Artisan Silver Have Always Walked Hand-In-Hand. Both Rely On Raw, Honest Expression That Can't Be Faked. Seeing My Work Under Stage Lights Is The Closest Thing I Get To A Warranty Claim Coming Back Clean.

— Tobin Dale —
Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts

A male guitarist playing an electric guitar on stage with stage lights and equipment in the background.

Tobin And I Go Back To My LA Days. I Knew Him When He Was Playing With The Sweet Things, And Later When He Was In Untamed, A Psychedelic Outfit Here In Nashville. Somewhere In There He Played On My Records Too — Pretty Face, And Both Instigators Albums After It.

These Days He's A Go-To Sideman For Touring And Sessions, And He's Spent Years Holding Down Guitar For Ray Wylie Hubbard — Including Red Rocks. He Is, And Has Always Been, An Absolute Killer Guitarist.

Before He Packed His Gear And Boarded The Flight For The UK With Tuk Smith, He Grabbed The Bellbottom Blues Straight From The Forge — It Went From My Bench To A Stage In Southampton Without Much In Between.

If You Look Closely At His Hand While He's Tearing Up The Fretboard Of His Les Paul, You'll Spot A Little Piece Of Nashville Riding Shotgun. He's Worn It From Southampton To Leeds, Bringing Towering Riffs And Stadium-Level Hooks To The British Underground.

The Bellbottom Blues Was Designed With Exactly That 1970s Rocker Grit In Mind — Heavy Metal, Deep Hand-Engraved Texture, And A Massive Slab Of Natural Indigo Denim Lapis Sitting Right At The Center. Denim Lapis Carries A Frequency Of Inner Authority, Focus, And Unyielding Truth. When You're Living Out Of A Suitcase, You Need That Grounding Foundation.

— Jack Gregori —
Human Country Jukebox

Jack And I Met At Those DC Open Mics In 2008. He Was One Of The Regulars At The Showcase I'd Just Started, And When I Moved To LA He Took It Over And Kept It Running. Human Country Jukebox Went On To Hold Down A Weekly At Madam's Organ, And In 2015 Jack Took That Voice To Season 8 Of The Voice.

Eighteen Years On, He's Still Out There — Guitar And Vocals, And A Touring Schedule That Doesn't Make Geographic Sense. Park City, Then Washington, DC, And Now Pointed At France. He Wears Two Of My Pieces, And They Do Opposite Jobs.

The Outlaw Is The Armor: A Hand-Stamped Black Onyx Shield Built To Anchor Your Personal Power And Repel Whatever's Coming At You. Rogue, Defensive, Heavy-Duty Swagger. It's The Piece You Wear Facing Out.

The Centered Mind Is The Opposite — Lava, Lapis And Hematite On A Heavy-Duty Stretch Strand, Built To Absorb Stress, Lock In Focus, And Keep You Unshakeable Through Daily Chaos. That's The Piece You Wear Facing In, At Hour Six Of A Drive, Or Twenty Minutes Before Doors.

This August I Got To Stand Up There With Him Again — Chef Jam, At The Chef's Table Festival In Park City. Eighteen Years After A Back Room In Washington, DC, Playing Beside Someone Wearing Two Pieces I Forged Myself. That's Not A Business Plan. That's Just How It Went.

Armor On One Hand, Ballast On The Other. For A Player Crossing A Continent And Then An Ocean, That's About Right.

— Jeff Hyman —
recording artist, Nashville

Close-up of a small, silver rings on a weathered wooden surface with green grass and leaves in the background.

Jeff Has Played On Every Record I've Made Since Pretty Face. Berklee-Trained, And A Multi-Instrumentalist In The Way That Actually Means Something — He Picks Up Whatever The Song Needs And Makes It Sound Like He's Played Only That His Whole Life. He Splits His Time Between Nashville And Huntsville.

A Session With Him Is Less A Performance Than A Series Of Switches. Pick Up, Put Down, Reset, Go Again. He Wears The Talon And The Aligned Core.

The Talon Is A Minimalist Tribute To The Raptor — A Sweeping, Anatomical Curve Wrapping The Finger Like A Permanent Grip On Your Own Higher Perspective. Strategic, Sharp, Visionary. A Talisman For Anyone Who Values Clarity Over Chaos.

The Aligned Core Is A Double-Stranded Wrap Of Lava, Lapis, Tiger's Eye, Chrysocolla And Hematite, With A Textured Southwest Silver Accent Bead. Rugged, Complex, Intentionally Balanced — A Wearable Grid Built To Ground You, Fire Your Willpower, And Open Your Voice All At Once.

For Somebody Who Plays Everything, Wearing A Piece Built Around Balance Tracks. I've Been Listening To Him Do It On My Own Records For Years.

What the road actually asks of a piece

Three Players, Six Pieces, And The Same Short List Of Requirements: Metal Heavy Enough To Take A Knock Without Bending. Stones Set Low So They Don't Catch On A Strap Or A Case Latch. Texture Deep Enough That Wear Reads As Character Instead Of Damage. Nothing Fussy, Nothing That Needs Handling.

Every Piece Below Is Built To That Standard. Most Of Them Are Also Just Nice To Wear To Dinner.

Bellbottom Blues · The Outlaw · The Centered Mind · Talon · The Aligned Core
