Parking Lot Party: Find Ramble & Riot at Bikers Bout Bikers on October 10
Some of the best invitations come from the table next to yours. At the Nashville Flea Market last weekend, a few of the vendors I met around Booth 42 told me about a parking lot party coming up in Madison, and that's how this one came together. So on Saturday, October 10, Ramble & Riot is setting up at the Bikers Bout Bikers Parking Lot Party.
It's a free, one-day benefit, it runs from 11 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon, and it has more going on than most festivals I've played. Here's what to expect, what I'm bringing, and how to find me.
What the day is
The Bikers Bout Bikers Parking Lot Party is hosted by Triple B Bagger at The Shop Music City, 517 Myatt Drive in Madison. The lot opens at 11am with a bike audio competition (registration starts at 10), a stunt show from some of Nashville's best riders, a live DJ, a silent auction, and a full lineup of vendors.
If you're riding in, there's a free-gas run from 11am to 1pm at Twice Daily in Goodlettsville before you head over.
There's no entry fee. This is a benefit, not a market with a gate. Donations go to the Bikers Bout Bikers non-profit, so bring a few dollars for the bucket and keep an eye on the silent auction tables.
Why I wanted to be there
I've spent twenty years on stages in bars and clubs, and the people I trust most on gear are the ones who use it hard. Riders are the same. They know the difference between something built to look tough and something built to take a beating.
That's the whole idea behind what I make. I call it everyday armor: sterling silver heavy enough to feel on your hand, stones set to be worn every day instead of saved for special occasions, and nothing so delicate you have to take it off to do actual work. A parking lot full of bikes and loud speakers is about as close to home as a jewelry table gets.
What's coming to the table
I'm bringing the heavier side of the collection: hand-stamped rings, statement bands, stone-set cuffs and pendants. Everything is sterling silver and made by hand in Nashville.
Since the shop moved to made-to-order, the finished pieces I have on hand now live at in-person events like this one. That means you can pick a ring up, put it on, see how the stone looks in real daylight, and take it home the same afternoon. No screen has ever done a cabochon any favors.
Start a commission on the spot
If nothing on the table is your size, or you've got a stone or a design in your head, we can start a commission right there. Anything that isn't a one-off can be made to order in your size, and custom pieces take 4 to 8 weeks depending on how involved they are.
Every commission starts with a conversation, and that conversation is a lot easier across a table than over email. If you know your ring size, bring it. If you don't, we'll work it out. You can read how the process works on the custom commissions page before you come.
